Privacy
Your chats stay on your Mac.
Kier is built to read the most private things you have, so it was built to keep them. This page says plainly what it reads, where it goes, and what never leaves your computer.
What Kier reads
Only what you switch on in Kier's setup, and only on your Mac:
- Messages from WhatsApp, iMessage, Mail and Discord, and the notifications other apps show you.
- Your calendar and your call history.
- Your Claude Code and Codex sessions, and git activity in the folders they work in.
- Your browser history and downloads, to notice when something got done.
Kier never reads banking, password or health apps. It never records what you type. Passwords, codes and card numbers it comes across are removed before anything is stored.
Where it goes
Nowhere. Everything Kier reads is stored in a database on your Mac, and the models that decide what is a task run on your Mac too. There is no Kier server, no account, and no copy of your messages anywhere else.
The one exception is your choice: when you hand a card to Claude or ChatGPT, or ask one of them a question about it, the context you send goes to that service under its own privacy terms. Kier never does that on its own.
This website
getkier.com has no cookies, no analytics and no trackers. Downloads are served from GitHub, which keeps its own standard server logs.
Deleting everything
Kier's data lives in one folder on your Mac. Remove the app and that folder, and it is gone. You can also forget single chats or people from inside Kier at any time.
